Umoja Movement Teen, Senaiah, received her Silver Award from the Girl Scouts Nation’s Capital. The Girl Scout Silver Award is the highest award a Girl Scout Cadette can achieve. It shows that the Cadette is a leader who is organized, determined, and dedicated to improving her community.
Senaiah's service project showed younger Girl Scouts how to make and edit music videos using their cell phones and tablets. Her project was made available to girls as they were home and unable to attend Girl Scout summer camps. The project offered girls a positive alternative to beat the pandemic blues. The video tutorial remains available to be shared for many years.
Senaiah is currently a 9th grader and this is her 10th year as a Girl Scout.
Congratulations Senaiah! We are so proud of you!
