Teen President's Message
On behalf of the Western Maryland Jack and Jill Teens, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our chapter’s website! I am beyond honored to be this year’s Teen President and I plan on making a positive impact in our organization. I have been in Jack and Jill for almost five years now, and I have had many unforgettable experiences that have helped shape me into the person that I am today. I hope to utilize the knowledge that I have gained in Jack and Jill and help lead our teens to success.
We are ecstatic to have commenced the 2019-2020 program year; this year the teens have a profusion of enriching activities planned. We will begin our program year with a module lock in/module madness with the goal of gaining essential knowledge and bonding as a chapter. In addition, as Jack and Jill teens we strive to give back to the community, and expose ourselves to impactful experiences. We intend on volunteering at the Boys and Girls Club of Frederick County to offer homework assistance and workshops for the youth. We really enjoy going to the Boys and Girls club and building relationships with the children there.
This years theme for Teen Conference is “Reclaiming Our Time” and we have some spectacular ideas planned. We all look forward to Teen Conference as it provides us with the opportunity to meet other like-minded teens and further develop our leadership skills. Our teens, with the guidance of our teen board, intend on making this a fantastic year. We plan to make ourselves proud of our accomplishments this program year and look forward to getting started and showing the world that we have the power to make a difference.
